Story behind the song
After watching a 20/20 special on children who need to be adopted, it got me thinking even more about how important it is to be loved. I look forward to a day when I can adopt children into a family of my own someday. The phrase 'except for you' did not fit in the meter, so I changed it to 'save for you', but then I felt what really flowed the best was simply 'save you'. That wording also gave me the opportunity to turn the phrase to make really beautiful ending.
