Story behind the song
david - this is a pop-punk tune, the music is kind of lame, nothing new, interesting, exciting, enticing, original, etc. the lyrics don't mean a whole lot, i guess it's a love song, but it didn't really come out that way....
Ryan ~ this song is so radio friendly it isnt even funny. we aren't as a group, fully clear on the rythmic stucture of this song. it needs to be addressed at practice. if there is going to be a girl part we need a girl singer whos voice will blend well... not davids voice bumped up a few octaves.
Dustin- This is a feel good song and I think it does exactly what it was created to do. MAKE THE KIDS DANCE!. However the consistancy of the song is compermised when we have those drawn out pauses in the begining of the 2nd verse and before the last choras(but mostly in the begining of the 2nd vrese). I think this is a good song. And I think if we make changes to it, they should be minimal. i spell like a fag!
Ryan ~ i agree the hits in the 2nd verse should be played through like the first verse. however i really like the hits at the end of the bridge and last chorus before the outro.
david- so it turns out we are completely at odds about this matter, i like the beginning of the second verse much more than i like the hits in the chorus, which i feel are very overdone not just in pop-punk, but in our band and this set of songs in general, the change at the start of the second verse takes away from the monotony of the rest of the song, if we didn't have it the entire thing would sound the same and would get very boring to listen to after the first minute and a half
