Story behind the song
david - this is the "david only" version, i recently rewrote some of the lyrics, so i recorded both parts on my own, originally dustin and i switch off, ala, he sings the first half of the verse and i sing the second ex:
dustin - "in a colored coded coffin..."
david - "and everything i said was...."
both musically and lyrically i am quite happy with this song, i'm fairly sure it can make it onto the album without any real changes made to it.
Ryan ~ this song is a rocker. i think the vocals lack balls... primarily during "and everything i said was...." there is just a power missing.... i am playing hard on a crash and i think the vocals should match the intensity. the 3 part harmony at the end makes my pants wet.
Dustin-This song is balls out and I love it. It is solid and well written. I don't think many changes should be made to this song. I like the new lyrics and the harmony at the end is sweet. The realy high part in the verse is a pain in the ass isn't it David?
