Lyrics
One To Many Beer (01/10/1999) (V) I woke up bright and early on Sunday afternoon the sun shinning brightly through the trees. I couldn't understand it, why I awoke so soon, I usually lay around `till two or three. It could have been the ringing of the telephone. It could have been Mickey's Mouseketeers. It could have been my neighbor on his of trombone. It could have been the one too many beers. (V) I stumbled to the bathroom looking for relief. The number on the door was number four. I couldn't understand it, why no one shared my grief, and why they had to make that awful roar. It could have been the fact that they just didn't see. It could have been that they had no fear. It couldn't been that they just didn't hear my pleas. Or cared that I had one too many beer. (V) After an eternity I finely took my seat. For all involved a good thing that I did. I couldn't understand it, which lowered the heat, and why they'd make me bend to lift the lid? It could have been someone's idea of a joke. The results of such could have been severe. It could have been that they had all been drinking coke. And me I had one too many beer. It could have been the ringing of the telephone. It could have been Mickey's Mouseketeers. It could have been my neighbor on his of trombone. It could have been the one too many beers. Copyright © 2009 by Douglas Murphy
