Lyrics
One night I found myself drinkin alone Mama took one look at me and said boy you best be gone So I headed south on the Freeway, to deal with the strange thing Set it up all nice and tight alone to deal with this disease (Chorus) She said come back to me son, the way you was before Come back to me please I heard her say As I closed the door Well the desert saved a million lives Today as I learned to speak Lean with ease can your soul be saved From this disease So I got thinking about these days If you don’t know what it is to be wasted How do you know what it is to be saved (Chorus) Today I thought I shot a villain And drank his only blood Two children were cryin as I dreamed on Something bothin you in this foreign land So far away from your home In this desperate land do I need a reason To shoot something down (chorus) (chorus)
