Well, I guess I'm not really a band as I have performed as a solo act for most of my life. Lately, my sweet lady has been playing accoustic bass and singing with me on many of the gigs and from time to time we also have a lead guitarist and sometimes a drummer as well. All of this is rather new, very fun and exciting. But whether I am working alone, or as a duo, trio or four piece band, it's still just; J. D. Haring.

Story behind the song
I love sad songs, always have, but I wrote this one on the idea that I wanted to hear of a love story that works and really lasts. You know, if it grows strong through the good times, then we grow together, stand together and then the bad times really aren't so bad.
Lyrics
The Bad Times Aren’t So Bad Tell me a story of a love that never ends Like a willow weeping in the chilly winter wind, it bends. Sing a song of the love we’ve had, growing strong through the good times, And the bad times aren’t, so bad. Tell me a story of a love that loves ‘til death. Like an eagle soaring high, sailing free on spring’s sweet breath. Sing a song of the love we’ve had, growing strong through the good times, And the bad times aren’t, so bad. I don’t want to hear about another broken heart, Lost to a love that ended before it even started. Tell me a story of a love that never ends. Like a willow weeping in the chilly winter wind, it bends. Sing a song of the love we’ve had, growing strong through the good times, And the bad times aren’t, so bad. They aren’t so bad.
