Story behind the song
I took piano lessons for a couple years in my home town, Gaffney, SC. I was 7,8,9 years old maybe. I remember the office where I took the lessons was very weird and stuffy, and something about the environment would make me salivate uncontrollably, like when you have to vomit. Sometimes I would sit there and play and listen to the teacher and not say anything while my mouth slowly filled more and more with spit. Once, I excused myself so I could go spit it out. Another time, I tried to answer a question and use my mouth like a "cup" so I wouldn't spill all the spit as I mumbled "ah huh" in response to a question, and wound up dribbling all over myself, to my teacher's horror. And once, when there was no other option, I swallowed the whole mouthful in one big gulp. This song is a tribute to that horrible moment.
