Soulful Gravelly voiced gospel Singer
Born and raised in Long Island New York Jeffrey Roberson, the son of pentecostal parents had a strong love for music. Jeff spent much of his childhood in the church. As a child Jeff showed interest in the piano, and his parents encouraged him by purchasing a piano. As an early teen, Jeff was blessed to be tutored by Gospel greats Rev. Timothy Wright the late Benny Cummings and the King's Temple Choir. Jeff toured with Benny Cummings around the country for several years. In this period Jeff was developing as a fine keyboardist and songwriter. He attended The Manhattan School of Music, but the desire to preach was too strong, and he left, seeking a higher calling as a minister. Through those years of tough times is when Jeff fell into the snares of drugs and prison. But the hope of redemption was heavy upon his life. Upon his return from the lifestyle of despair, God impressed upon Jeff to return to his first love of music. Jeff immediately assembled a group of local area singers and musicians and began rehearsals. Within the first year Jeff was in the studio recording his first cd. Jeff Roberson & the Long Island Fellowship Ensemble "Got My Joy Back" was released in Feb, 2004. The album was not successful according to industry standards, but it became the foundation for Volume II. This cd project is the result of the dedication of many talented musicians and singers. There is a musical feel through out this entire cd that will lift the listener to a higher level of worship. And as an added bonus a music video of "Forever Amen" is included on this enhanced cd. A partnership was developed in 2003 which manifested an indie record label-L.I.G.S. The team of Jeff Roberson, Antonio Kelley, and Derrick Wood became the backbone of L.I.G.S. The label has invested interest in the promotion of new regional talents. The out look is very promising because of the style of music that L.I.G.S. represents.

Story behind the song
I had many obstacles to over come in my life. I was a drug addict, I had very low self-esteem and I was abused as a child. But, I decided to trust in God and He showed me that all things were possible to them that believed. As a result those mountains are no longer in my life. Praise God.
Lyrics
Intro/ we wanna take it back a little bit right here. We want to have a little church I hope you don't mine. A little song that goes something like this. Chorus/ well mountain move right now/ oh, oh, oh, mountain move right now mountain move, mountain move, mountain move right now. Verse 1/ I can remember not so long ago when I had mountains in my life but I prayed to the Lord and he heard my plea and right now I got that victory. Chorus/ mountain move right now/ oh, oh, oh, mountain move right now mountain move, mountain move, mountain move right now. Verse 2/ I came to Jesus as I was, I was weary wounded and sad but I found in Him a resting place and He has made me glad. Chorus/ mountain move right now/ oh, oh, oh, mountain move right now mountain move, mountain move, mountain move right now. Ending/ move out of way/ move out my way/ move out of my way/ move out of my way/ you ought to talk to your mountains and tell your mountains to move. Get on out of my way, in the name of Jesus, just move on out of way. I’ve got places to go, I’ve got a job to do, I’ve got souls to win. Let me hear you say move.
