Story behind the song
Having achieved Enlightenment, all Buddhas are outside Samsara. In the Bhavachakra (Buddhist 'Wheel of Life') he is shown pointing to the moon, symbolizing the attainment of Nirvana, or Liberation - that cool and peaceful state of mind free from all delusions and suffering.
