Type ILL is a 3 man crew out of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Basically we love the culture and we feel it shows in our music.The idea of putting out our own music sprung from the radioshow Me and Destro do, the MO and Destro Show 90.7fm WCLH (www.wclh.org) tuesdays 5 to 8pm As a group we put our ideas and creativity together to form a group which became Type ILL. With Woj and Destro providing the beats and Destro and I providing the Rhymes, Our debut album "Everyday" touches on a lot of things that a fan of original music can appreciate. The name "Type ILL" came from the idea that we don't fit the definition of what a "rap group" is in a lot of people's minds, we don't try to fit the "gangsta type" or the "backpacker type".We don't hit the listener with smoke and mirrors trying to come off as studio gangstas' or anything like that or rhymes filled with scientific equations, its basically life music-that "Type ILL" vibe. We just be ourselves and i think it shows through our style personally and lyrically. Check the tracks and see what we're doing.
