'I'd walk on broken glass if that's what you ask.'
acoustic folk country lai
Lyricist on an endless quest for the perfect melody.
I'm afraid I can't claim to be a band, although I have been known to jump on a bandwagon from time to time. No, I'm just a humble lyricist who is in absolute awe of the composers who have stumbled into my life and bothered to wrap a melody around some of my words. I've been attempting to legitimately call myself a lyricist since I was about 14 years old. Have a listen, won't you, and let me know if I qualify.

Lyrics
Whatever It Takes © 2006 Greg C. Brown I tremble every time you take my hand And you reassure me that you’re all mine. ‘Cause I just can’t believe my good fortune After being lonely all this time. I’m scared one day I’ll wake up from a dream To hear you tell me, “Boy, it’s been a fun ride.” And then walk out through the hole left inside me. Oh, but here you are still lying by my side. And darling, I will do what I must To deserve your love and trust. CHORUS ‘Cause whatever it takes, I’m committed to. Whatever it requires, I’ll do it for you. I’d walk on broken glass If that’s what you ask. I’d do anything I have to do. I will fight for this love, girl, Make no mistake; I will do whatever it takes. My life had been a never-ending string Of meaningless and empty one-night stands. With too much kiss and tell between strangers, Just wasted moments slipping through my hands. But now that you have come into my life, I know I’m not the man I used to be. You’ve shown me love I never knew was missing, And that means all the world and more to me. So darling, I will do what I must To preserve this love and trust. REPEAT CHORUS I will fight for this love, girl, Make no mistake, I will do whatever it takes.
