This is our only 'jam-band' song. This is a song that I wrote at Purchase about a friend who was obsessed with Led Lep and Jimmy Page. He used to collect tapes ( bootlegs ) of all their shows. He was also a really good guitarist.

Artist picture
New/Old school Folk/Rock artist with a flair for poignant melodies and meaningful lyrics.
Thomas Palminteri is a singer/songwriter, composer with a subtle and varied gift for lyrics and melody in the tradition of Paul Simon and Randy Newman. He has written both songs that tell a story such as ïSpring Has Goneï and Waiting for the No.12 and composed instrumental music such as ïJourney to the Black Madonnaï the enigmatic Mass in C that defy categorization. In his teenage years he developed a strong appreciation for Rock music beginning with The Beatles and later became enamored with the more eclectic groups of his adolescence such as the Talking Heads and Elvis Costello. Later in college when he decided to study music more formally Tom became deeply affected by Classical and Jazzï particularly J.S. Bach, Mozart, Faure and Debussy.

Story behind the song
This one was done at StompBox and we really faded out at the end. This is one of the best songs recorded by "Eric's In Oregon"! On this track is Scott is the "Guitar Man"! The line up on this recording is: Me- Acoustic Guitar and Vocals Scott Kuchler- Electric Six and Twelve String Guitars John Coronna- Drums Bill Stegemann-Bass Guitar Man is a song that we used to play with the full band ( Eric's In Oregon) and I feel like it's a lesser known song from our CD. I think we really played it well in the studio but the bass was mixed a little low. I really love the way we faded out in the coda section. Check it out...that is us! This is a song that I wrote at Purchase about a friend who was obsessed with Led Lep and Jimmy Page. He used to collece tapes ( bootlegs ) of all their shows, hence the line "I got your video from '75 and tapes of every show you ever played live." It's sort of a tribute to him...and to the spirit of that type of fan and Led Zeppelin. If you listen to the end Scott even quotes a little 'over the hills' like riff. This may tickle some of your fancies being that I hardly make it known that I was once a Led Zep fan ( for a 3-month period in High school ) ...lol, but seriously they were great! And their influence is inevitable to anyone who plays the guitar. NO doubt. The title Guitar Man actually came when I was walking through in NYC with my guitar on my back and someone shouted out "Hey guitar man, can you play it good?" That's how it got it's start.. tp
