Story behind the song
The first song I ever wrote on piano, when I was 16 :o) The inspiration for the song was that idea of balance. For every person that passes away, a new born baby takes its place, 'a life for a life.' Its kind of a comforting notion, if tinged with sadness of the departure of one for another.
