Artist picture
Eclectic, intelligent rock-driven tunes with big guitars and more than a hint of electronica give us a sound unlike any other band.
The Strang Quartet formed (officially) in Cambridge UK in 2003, consisting of long-time friends Martin (guitars and vocals) and Julian (drums, keyboards, guitars and production). Our mission statement: to make deep, meaningful, noisy sounds for the delectation of ourselves and others.

Story behind the song
This is a song about someone close who goes off the rails and missing the person that was.
Lyrics
It's 4am, a sombre sun splits rock and sand from the kiss of night I sit cross-legged on a rock Staring at the spilling sunlight Apropos of nothing I'm thinking back to what you said From zero to less in the blink of an eye I can't believe you went ahead Chorus: And it's blue Mojave blue And it's blue Mojave blue Thinking of me Thinking of you Thinking of me Thinking of you It's 5am I start to warm To the end of this new era It felt just like the old one to be honest And things are not any clearer You never talked about how you felt So I kind of assumed that you were fine I saved my pennies for a rainy day But the tidal wave came ahead of time (Chorus) Now you're drinking in the last chance saloon One last gamble to find your fortune Your life's on the table I don't know if you're bluffing If I counted the cards right then you're holding nothing And under my breath I'm screaming "just fold" I can only smile sweetly as the air grows less cold It's 6am the desert wakes I rub the dust from my weary face The morning has come - no resolution It's time to rejoin the human race I wish that I had the words I wish that I'd found the key I wish that I'd stop wishing for These things that can never be (Chorus).
