Lyrics
FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND BLACKBIRDS Hand me down that Book of Life, I’ve gotta mark a page. Don’t know what I’m feelin’ more – is it grief or rage? Everything that’s earthly ends, so I’ve been told. I kinda thought that line was meant only for the old. CHORUS Save me, I’m only tryin’ to breathe. Save me, help me to believe that there’s more to this life than meets the eye. When you see the one you love lowered in the ground It takes all the strength you have just to walk around. Once you give your heart away you can’t take it back again. When you’re signin’ up for love you’re signin’ up for pain. MIKE SLAJCHERT BLACKDOG RECORDS, 2006
