Jim Colyer Band is a free-wheeling, ever-changing thing. Members come and go. The one constant is my catalog of songs. I do some of the lead vocals but employ females as I write lots of girl songs.

Story behind the song
Doc was recording with a girl named Amy. He called her a tomboy. I took it from there.
Lyrics
Well, I had 5 brothers, and they taught me the facts of life I could hit a baseball and ride horses at the age of 9 I learned how to hunt and fish, caught rabbits for food to eat I wore overalls, I didn't have shoes on my feet They called me Tomboy cos I was one of the guys But that was years ago, and you're in for a big surprise You'll be a happy man if I'm the woman you're thinking of Cos I might be a Tomboy but, boy, I can sure make love Well, I could wrestle and fight and I was never afraid of the dark I could lift a hundred pounds and raise it up over my head I knew how to drive a truck, I chopped wood for the kitchen stove I never wore a dress until I was sweet 16 They called me Tomboy cos I was one of the guys But that was years ago, and you're in for a big surprise You'll be a happy man if I'm the woman you're thinking of Cos I might be a Tomboy but, boy, I can sure make love Jim Colyer ASCAP
