We have been playing covers as well as our own original music around the Windsor/Detroit scene together for around 6 years, strong. The two main members and founder of PurpleOrange include: Dann Allaire, (lead, Back-up vocals, Lead, rhythm guitar, Percussion, Piano, etc.) & Tim Pinnegar (lead, back-up vocals, rhythm guitar, percussion etc.) We are known for our wide variety of cover tunes, with a huge 600+ song set list as well our own original material with a deep, acoustical/alternative feel. Story behind the song
Not really sure what made me write this song. It was actually 3 different poems placed into one song. It started out as just a Jam to warm up before band practice, then we started jamming it live and I would make up the words, then put actual words to it. Blah, Blah, Blah!!!
Lyrics
Dare into the promise land Dusts of light fall in my hand Given signs the open door Drift upon the wakened shore All you out there look an’ see All you are is what you bleed No more can it bring me down This is the end, your time is now Blackn’d light soars through my veins Calling out into the rain Going nowhere 2 be told Boxed inside an’ blinded by the cold visions the forgotten one I’ve been chosen and become King of heaven, hell below Twisting waters, under toe. Look across the bounded sea Sunset falls so closely. Over the rainbow where it ends This is your life and Where It Begins. Where It Begins
