Story behind the song
Written by Gordon Justice with music comp. by Kyle Whitaker/Recorded by Gospel Grass in 2002. This was the first CD recorded and mixed by the current Gospel Grass and our mix as well as our playing abilities was still quite weak. Listen and see if you hear James' pick hitting his guitar. James is singing lead on this song and plays rhythm guitar. At the time of this recording both Mike on banjo and Dennis on the mandolin had been playing for less than a year. As a group Gospel Grass has not performed this song live since early 2003. We really should get it out and re-record it again. Maybe someday......
