24Kt GOLD is a solo artist who dresses slightly thug out and refuses to compromise what she believes in. She sings, raps and writes all her own material. She has been singing solo and writing since 98. Before this 24 was in a Gospel choir from the age of 13. Music has always been part of her life and from even before she was born. Her first performance was at the tender age of 3 years old in front of her whole school. From that point her parents felt she was made to do it. At 13 years old 24 started going to church and in turn began singing with a choir. It gave her an emotional outlet. When she sang, nothing else mattered. 24 believed that when performing she was giving a part of herself to everyone and that was an amazing feeling. 24 says "When I am on stage and everyone’s eyes are on me, I have their full attention, I can tell them anything. For that moment, they belong to me." "As I write my songs I can tell people what I want them to know, how their actions make me feel and who I am as a person. Through my music, I can make sense of situations, close chapters of my life and look to a better future. My music is the very essence of me."
