Lyrics
MY OWN TREE Created-08-29-05 Music & Lyrics by Sandra D. McCarthy (ASCAP) Ambient Alternative Dreamy Pop Originally uploaded on Tue Aug 01, 2006 ==================================== v1 Here I am. Staring out, Looking out my big window. I'm alone. Listening to, Swaying to the radio. Isn't there any time? I want the time, to dream. v2 Things to do. Missing times, Simple times of long ago. Where's my tree? Calling me. Scolding me, OH..take it slow. Isn't there any time? I need the time to dream. [chorus] I want to feel the breeze, Sitting, playing, dreaming, under my own, MY OWN TREE. v3 Here I am. Going to, Driving to life's big side-show. As I sit. Listening to, Whistling to my radio. [bridge] My tree invites me, To catch the sunbeams. My tree leads the way, To be free, to dream. (To dream.) v4 Wish to have, Knowing hands, Guiding hands like this oak. There's my tree! Teaching me, Greeting me, "Oh Hello!". I will find many times, I've got the time, to dream. [chorus] I want to feel the breeze. Sitting, playing, dreaming, under my own, MY OWN TREE.

Airy and sweet tune with your nice retro feel! Wonderful instrumental in the back ground.

Sandy, I really feel this song a lot. You are speaking for me in a profound way. Life is so busy and demanding when our hearts cry out for a dream, a dance, a chance to play. This strange and sparse bass-less production is eerily appropriate for this track. How hollow our workaday world can be if we neglect the child within us. This is a sweet reminder of what is so important to our God-shaped souls. Thanks for this fascinating journey through your musical soul. Your fan, Johnny
