I got a Roy Rogers guitar with song book for Christmas in 1958. I learned a little and put it aside. In '63 a kid brought his electric guitar to school and played "Pipeline" at our sock hop. It looked easy, so I started a garage band. Eventually, I needed money for gas and dates, so I got a real job. We disbanded in '66, but best friend, Freddie, and I kept jamming over the years. We recently worked on a song he wrote and it inspired me to write my own music. Please listen and post a message.

Lyrics
1) I got your call Please come home I’ve been gone too damn long I got sick leave coming and now I gotta go I’m packed up gassed up and heading on down the road Chorus Down the road now I’m down the road I’m running top end with a heavy load I can’t wait till I’m back in my own zip code Cause my baby’s waiting for me on down the road 2) I got a traveling job and it pays real good But there’s good paying jobs in our neighborhood I told my boss goodbye now I gotta go I’m packed up gassed up and running on down the road (Chorus) 3) Mile markers fly by the traffic is light I’m making good time driving all night I got the gas pedal pushed down to the floor Big wheels keep on rolling on down the road © 2006 Words and Music A.P.
