Story behind the song
James Maddox, Tim Hicks and Myself (Ed Gowens)got together and wrote this song as a Tribute to the Great Johnny Cash. We recorded it the day before Johnny passed away. We woke up to the sad news of Johnny's death. This song started getting Radio Airplay along with TV and Newspaper interviews that same day. It was indeed a sad day for Country Music fans all over the world. "Johnny, You are still the man in Black"
