Hi, I've been writing songs since I was twelve years old, and recording them since 1985. Roger Cook (of the Cook-Greenaway-Cook songwriting partnership and Blue Mink, etc) once wrote that I have the ability to write a hit single and that he was waiting for one from me. He also said I need to 'lighten up a bit', unquote. F*ck that!

Story behind the song
I had an acoustic guitar line and a melody, but no words. Then a dear friend said to me, 'Imagine you could meet your Mum again for one more hour. What would you say to her?' I wrote from the heart and then re-wrote the lyric, removing anything that couldn't apply to everybody who lost a loved one because I wanted to share my feelings with the listener, and for the listener to relate to the song just as much I do. This song was voted 'Song of the Year' on our local radio station, and was also the most-requested song for two years running. Have a listen and have a cry: my heart is with you because I know how you feel. xxx
