To Nick from Nick with love. Don't worry, it'll be ok... I'm pleasantly surprised by the number of people who cried (in a nice way) when they first heard this one.

Hi, I've been writing songs since I was twelve years old, and recording them since 1985. Roger Cook (of the Cook-Greenaway-Cook songwriting partnership and Blue Mink, etc) once wrote that I have the ability to write a hit single and that he was waiting for one from me. He also said I need to 'lighten up a bit', unquote. F*ck that!

Story behind the song
I was feeling rather down, as I do from time to time. The piano line dropped into my lap out of nowhere and I decided to write a lyric that was giving myself advice and a hug, an 'It's ok Nick, don't worry, it'll be alright' kind of thing. I cried buckets as I was mixing it down. Better out than in, as they say...
Lyrics
Don’t fear your demons You’ll only make them strong Hang out with the Angels And bring them along You’ve everything you need Like a seed, Waiting for the Sun Don’t fear the demons And you won’t go wrong Seek out the Angels It’s where you belong There’s nothin’ that you need So don’t concede to anyone If you could only find Just a little peace of mind The Truth could be defined Inner vision for the blind And you won’t ever need to hide From what it is you hold inside If what you know could be applied Using your Soul as your Guide Don’t fear the demons When they’re with you all night long Remember the Angels ‘Cos they can make you strong And when your lifeblood bleeds You won’t need to leave it all undone If you could only find Just a little peace of mind The Truth could be defined Inner vision for the blind And you won’t ever need to hide From what it is you hold inside If what you know could be applied Using your Soul as your Guide
