Austin Martini is a homage reference to a certain secret agent character featured in over 20 action motion pictures, who drives a fast silver British sportscar and has been known to prefer to drink Martinis shaken, not stirred. It is not intended to be a reference in anyway to a city in Texas or Minnesota. The sound of this one man band has been discribed as the kind of music that one might here played live on a piano in a fine department store. With one major exception. It is completely improvised. Pulling flowing melodies and chord progressions from the soul. Think of it as mental watercolors painting pictures in your mind. It is a very relaxing sound. Some may be drawn into its hypnotic depths. Others may find it hard to stay awake. It is an acquired taste. It is original.

Story behind the song
Song Artwork is a derivative image based on a public domain photograph from the Hubble courtesy of NASA. After listening to this song a few times, it reminds me a little bit of Mike Odefield. This could easily fit into a similar mood and feel as Tubular Bells. Although, I can honestly say that I have never seen the entire movie for which it is more famous for being a main theme for. I personally don't watch horror movies. With the exception of the Silence of the Lambs series and anything by M. Night Shyamalan. I like the movies that are more psychological, thrilling, realistic, or at least possible. So, if a serial killer is in it good. If people are just dying so the special effects guys can have fun, then it doesn't work for me. I digress. This music was written to get into your head and make you feel uneasy. I would think of it a edge of your seat music that would fit into a psychological thriller soundtrack or film score. Superb for a opening title sequence. In some ways it reminds me of the genre of music that you might expect to find in a Hitchcock film. Granted it is a little rough in this version, but then again this wasn't recorded on a sound stage with an entire orchestra. It is just me and my computer. But you get the gist of the composition.
