Story behind the song
It's Orient's Time is about 17 years of hurt followed by Orient's promotion to League 1 on the last day of the season. Anyone who was at Oxford on 6th May 2006 will never forget it. We were drawing 2-2 and needed to do at least as well as Grimsby, who were winning at home to Northampton. Then, in the space of a few crazy seconds, Northampton equalised and we scored to make promotion certain. Or, as Dave puts it at the start of the song, "WE'RE GOING UP!"
