One man recording the cobwebs of his mind; Shall we listen in?
One man singer-songwriter musician. Included here are songs written as far back as the late seventies, up to and including the present day. Four of the songs were recorded in the late 90's and make up an EP called Skies. Other albums include A Man Alone from 2002, and The World At Large from 2005. Since then, songs have been released singly as they've been completed. A new album is now available - Tales Of Love And Defiance (talesofloveanddefiance.com)

Story behind the song
If you write enough songs, eventually you write a goofy one for yourself (Pete Townsend's 'Squeeze Box' is a good example). This is a bit of a parody song, done in very few takes just for the heck of it. The lyrics were written the same afternoon as 'Silent Lullaby', which is probably one of the saddest songs I've ever written, so this may have been just as an antidote to the powerful emotions I felt at the time. At any rate, once you know the words of 'Alphabet Soup', it's great to sing along with. Buy the CD!
Lyrics
You talk about a month of Sundays but you always seem to be running late It never makes a difference who stays Just another soul to whom you can relate When the wheels fall off your wagon You'll just learn to blaze another trail Like St. George before he fought the dragon does it occur that this might someday fail? And you never never never never stop trying to get across your point of view Will it ever ever, ever ever pop Do you know what it is? Do you? Another day of waiting for the bus stand along the railroad tracks Looking down at your watch in disgust You realize you've paid too much in tax Then you're rushing with your heels alight to make another deal undone Like you're starring in your own day's night But it's too late for having fun And you never never never never stop trying to get across your point of view Will it ever ever, ever ever pop Do you know what it is? Do you? You caught me in a corner of my mind while I wrestled with the beast What you left for me to find had all the marks of an errant priest So now you've cut your clothes to shreds and left the buttons out by the sink If you mend the fuse I'll fix your meds don’t curse the dark if it makes you think And you never never never never stop trying to get across your point of view Will it ever ever, ever ever pop Do you know what it is? Do you?
