Story behind the song
It's a co-write with the irrepressible RS CAIN (a great friend/musician/biker/DJ in the US) and it's on his album "The Twisted Tale Of The Honky Tonk Monkey" The song's about the passion bikers have for their machines, and for their girls. INSPIRATION OK, I admit it, I hate motorbikes. However, I could always relate to folk who love them because they really can be beautiful machines. Some years ago, my daughter had a boyfriend who had a Kawasaki. He liked my stuff, and one day I asked him to challenge me with an idea for a song. Knowing I hated them, he promptly said "My bike!"...(just to wind me up of course!) but looking at the beautiful lime green machine in my garage did the trick........I was inspired! As it was a foreign area for me, I asked him for a few examples of the terminology bikers use and put them all together the next day. I then forgot about the lyrics until I realised that Bob might be interested in collaborating and bringing them to life. I was truly flattered when he agreed and I think he did a cracking job.
