Animal Cracker Circus © joice marie 3/2006 I use to dream of running away with the circus hoped to be an acrobat in flight To swing above the crowd flip around in circles The catchers grip holding on to my life CHORUS Oh to be in a circus Traveling through from town to town Wandering gypsies behind curtains Luring crowds to come around Dazzling crowds that gather round As I stare at the animal cracker boxes I imagine the lion tamers whip Urging tigers through hoops of flaming fire Landing on pedestals roaring on their trip Do do do do dooooo Never did I run away with the circus That dream did linger and float around My wandering life lives just below the surface The gypsy blood seeps deep into my sounds.
