Keyboards guitars and singers of easy listening music
Welcome to my world of Music. I have written many songs and have stepped in and out of Country here and there into Pop and World music for I love it all. There are so many genres that I call my music easy listening, though some of it is a bit toe tapping. Be it Classical or Bluegrass be it music. I am a solo act with friends joining me in the performances. I never know who will be singing or playing with me. Age or gender are not a factor with me and I am at home with anyone who enjoys music and it's creation as much as I do

Story behind the song
Judy Hollier has a comedy side that shows up every once in a while in her lyrics. She had some extra lyrics for this that we considered a bit too blue to use on this demo, but, funny. Use your imagination here. Denny Michaels thinks he felt like Billy Ray Cyrus must have felt when he first sang his big hit. You know the one.
Lyrics
COWBOY IN SHORTS AND THONGS Judy Hollier and Idamarie Naelitz Cm groove24-8 (c 2001) All rights reserved He wanted to be a cowboy He thought it looked like fun So off he went to Texas To see how it was done He came back home in Wranglers And boots of ostrich skin A hat, N belt, N buckle Almost as big as him He learned to play guitar And sing sad country songs His heart was really in it But, there was something wrong He really looked the part As anyone could see But, those boots and jeans are Hell When it's ninety eight degrees CHORUS: GIVE ME SHORTS AND THONGS GIVE ME SHORTS AND THONGS I'M STUBBORN AS A MULE I INSIST, I BE COOL GIVE ME SHORTS AND THONGS GIVE ME SHORTS AND THONGS I'LL STILL SING COUNTRY SONGS BUT, GIVE ME SHORTS AND THONGS He cut the jeans off at the knee He threw away the hat The boots sit by the kitchen door Their company for the cat In his heart he's still a cowboy And he still sings country songs But, people round these parts know him As the cowboy in shorts and thongs CHORUS // (KEY JUMP) CHORUS //
