Story behind the song
Some years ago I wrote a song called "Samantha Eggar" after seeing David Cronenberg's film "The Brood." The sound was heavily influenced by the sound of TV cop and detective show theme songs from the late 1960s and early 1970s (think Banacek). The Pizzicato 5 later made a career out of just this kind of kitsch sound. This is an updating of those experiments.
