For the greatest woman, my mom.
pop songwriter country natalie alberts
Singer/songwriter, pianist, and composer with pop/country and new age classical influences.
Hi! Welcome to my page. I'm a busy mom of 4 that dabbles in songwriting from time to time. I haven't uploaded a lot of new material in a while. Working on that. I want to branch out into other genres. Collaborators welcome! My strength lies in melody writing and instrumental music, and I have collaborated with many talented lyricists. Every so often I come up with a lyric on my own. You can listen to several collaborations as well as my solo projects on my music page. If you are an artist, publisher, or rep who is interested in one or more of the songs, please contact me through the email link.

Story behind the song
My mom is my idol. She raised six kids to be well-rounded, caring adults, all while juggling school and work, and everything else entailed in her life's responsibilies. I actually had the lyrics for this written three years ago, along with the melody. It took me a long time to get it put together, and it is still not "perfect" enough for me, but it comes close. I love my mom with all my heart, and only hope, as a mother myself, that I will someday measure up to her.
Lyrics
Mother You gave me life And you taught me all of Everything that you knew, mother You showed me right When I wanted to fly That’s what you let me do And I couldn’t be more thankful More grateful, for your love Cause nothing compares to The way you never gave up on me I know without doubt I wouldn’t be close to who I am Without you, mother I finally figured out What a sacrifice it was To be in your shoes Now I couldn’t be more hopeful That I’ll be humble, and be wise That I’ll follow your example This is my goal in my life That when I love, it’s unconditional When I praise, it comes straight from the heart When I’m right, I won’t be prideful When I’m wrong, I’ll say I’m sorry Mother Time passes so fast And it makes me aware Of my closeness to you, mother I cherish memories past Of the days I’d admire Everything that you’d do Now I’m holding my own angel It’s my turn now to be strong As I face my own journey I’ll keep on learning from you, Mom That when I love, it’s unconditional When I praise, it comes straight from the heart When I’m right, I won’t be prideful When I’m wrong, I’ll say I’m sorry You did the best you could To show me what was right I finally understood The choice was mine Now I see the light When I love, it’s unconditional When I praise, it comes straight frommy heart When I’m right, I won’t be prideful When I’m wrong, I’ll say I’m sorry Mother
