Talented singer/songwriter/instrumentalist/composer, Colleen's music will touch your soul and move you.
I invite you to take a step inside my mind. Take a step back to places in my life re-enacted through melody. My music, my art and my words express the many different joys and sorrows that come with life. It is my hope that my life's experiences can touch and maybe even inspire you through music in the same way that music has touched and inspired my own life. I invite you to get to know me, and all the Shades of Gray that define who I am.

Story behind the song
Driving the freeway on my way to work one morning, I see this huge address on the side of a building, "1939". Inspiration hit me like a freight train in one of those "I have to find some paper RIGHT NOW!!!!" kind of moments. Got to work and had the first two verses and choruses done. Came home that night and recorded the first section of the song so I wouldn't forget it. That's what you will hear. The song is almost complete and will be kind of like a "Musical auto-biography".
Lyrics
~Movement 1: Innocence~ Way back in 1970, my Mother introduced this brand new world to me As I opened up my eyes and sang for my first time I remember walking hand in hand, safe and secure right in my Father's shadow All that I've become, all that I am they instilled in me Isn't it wonderful, isn't it marvelous That we can breathe new life into the world around us? Isn't it true that in your child's eyes you'll see A glimpse of how life used to be? Isn't it fascinating, isn't it mysterious That through our memories we all can live and learn and love? Isn't it any wonder that we can't live without love? Is it any wonder at all? ~Movement 2: Innocence Lost~ Way back in 1983, I learned the painful truth of what life had in store for me As I cried silent tears inside and learned to smile on the outside I remember the first time that with these hands upon the keys I finally found out who I am It was just like Tori said, "Adolescence is the cruelest place on Earth to be." Isn't it wonderful, isn't it marvelous That we can leave behind the pain and learn to hope & trust? Isn't it true that in your mirror's eyes you can see A glimpse into your soul and who you could be? Isn't it fascinating, isn't it mysterious That through our memories we all can live and learn and love? Isn't it any wonder that we can't live without love? Is it any wonder at all? ~Movement 3: Hope~ And I do not claim to know what lies upon life's road ahead But on this path that I have chosen and as long as your hand's in my hand I know that I will always be looking forward to all my tomorrow's with you And isn't it wonderful, isn't it marvelous That we become one, you & I, that we became us? Isn't it true that when I look into your eyes I can see A love so sweet and pure, the love you've given me Isn't it fascinating, isn't it mysterious That you became my life, my world, my friend and my love? Isn't it any wonder that I wouldn't be me without your love? Is it any wonder at all?
