Story behind the song
Theatre COmpany had accompanists missing in action. I couldn't do it because I would be on the other side of the world for all major rehearsals and most performances (a great excuse to avoid being pressganged as Musical Director). So i put a full-lenght (90minutes worth) orchestrated backing track together. The whole opera ran to this backing track, highly successfully. A sort of individualised karaoke! MidiNotate Composer (now Notation Composer)used both for editing and as the sequencer. Medeli MC710 as the sound generator. Minor fiddling with Eq and reverb in Steinberg Clean.
