A song of despair. Mostly despair on my part with finishing the song - it took me 10 years and it still sounds like there is something wrong with it. Any clues??
Artist picture
Loosely described: swampy folk accoustic with a touch of electro accoustic...
Screen 66 has been performing and recording in various incarnations since 1984. It is currently a one man operation but open minded enough to allow input from the outside. I don't believe in musical boundaries so I play the music that feels right, whatever the style or language.

Lyrics
She is sitting in her room, alone by herself. Like a piece of jewellery at Tiffany’s, on the shelf Looking over everything she has to leave behind. Over the only way to keep from losing her mind He is looking through the half open mail slot of a door That she kept open for him but that was years before And he knows that it’s his life that she’s taking away from him She leaves today, she’ll never come home again Today she’s packing up her bags He knows nothing he’ll say ca bring her back After years of not talking anymore They’re like driftwood, on the shore. She told him once time will pass and everything will heal He could never know the way he made her feel Thinking over everything she had to leave behind The day she came along to share his life Today she’s packing up her bags He knows nothing he’ll say can bring her back After years of not talking anymore They’re like driftwood, on the shore. She’ll never know what she really means to him, in his mind He’d done nothing wrong and everything was fine Talking over everything and leave the past behind And start over something that died before it’s time
