Blues-influenced songster, churning out songs never-before heard about food, love, work, teaching Spanish, and more.
In an effort to get my music out into the world and to hone my writing practice, I'm starting a Song-A-Week project I'll attempt to release one brand new song per week for a year, starting today, Sunday, May 14th, 2006, and continuing through Sunday, May 13, 2007. Traditionally I, like most people, have written about love and sex — attraction, frustration, satisfaction, the works. As evidenced by the first song in my new series (about a job interview for a lame job), I'm trying to break out of this mold a bit more with my new series of songs... that said, I remain ever myself, and surely there will be more songs about love and whatnot.

Lyrics
It could happen any time, you know they move pianos every day And that truck that just blew by, how long do you think that guy's been awake Hell they let teenagers drive, no one's figured out why I'm just saying it could happen any time There are more objects in the sky than we have telescopes to see A great big hunk of rock and ice could be hurtling right for you and me Or the sun could just explode, it's gonna happen some day you know, We just can't say when that day will be Chorus: Oh the day I die could be the day you didn't make love to me Oh the day I die could be the day you didn't make love to me I don't know when the reaper will come But I think something should be done To avoid that eventuality Got all these cells inside me making copies every day How many times can they divide before one makes a mistake A little cell forgets to die, forgets it's name forgets its place Pretty soon I've got a tumor in my brain (Chorus) Repeat first verse.
