A bit of an 'Angry FemaleSong' (to use the words of a publisher...) Demo is sparse-, but the point gets made.
simple song writing demos, country
No band these days... just a writer recording my own demo's.
Lyrics
Hey You (c) 1998 Dawn Kenealy
Hey you, the guy who thinks he’s playing it cool.
The guy who thinks he’s got me playing the fool,
Yeah, I’m talking to you.
Hey you, do you really think you’re so smart?
Do you really think you’re breaking my heart?
Yeah, I’ve got news for you.
You’ve served your purpose, our time is done.
You can clear your conscious,
and tell me I’m not the only one.
I’ve known all along,
and I haven’t shed one tear.
Hey you, get the hell out of here.
Hey you, thinking you’re so clever and wise,
Thinking I’ve been believing your lies
Yeah, well I’ve told some too.
Hey you, how’s it feel, that the tables have turned?
To know you’re the one who’s really been burned?
To know you’ve been the fool.
You’ve served your purpose, our time is done.
You can clear your conscious,
and tell me I’m not the only one.
I’ve known all along,
and I haven’t shed one tear.
Hey you, get the hell out of here.
You’ve served your purpose, our time is done.
You can clear your conscious,
and tell me I’m not the only one.
I’ve known all along,
and I haven’t shed one tear.
Hey you, get the hell out of here.
I'm guessing this song would go over really well with a female audience. It seems females always like other females "angry" songs. lol. Although, this one doesn't sound quite so ANGRY as it just feels "annoyed" at this point of that relationship. Nice song.
