Lyrics
I'm walking along a river in New Hampshire. Walking under the blue clear sky. Water runs shining brightly like never dries They call it the Merrimack river. Country houses have, summar boats docked by running thru the old factories of Manchester. There lies a railroad along the river but the train passes only at night Take me up north to a valley. That's where all my folks have gone. You can see fiddlers as many as you wish They call it the Pemi Valley. Grasses grown wild and the mountain music played with sweet county tales let people there dance. Forget the way you earn your daily bread but you aint do your sweetheart. Tommorrow I will return to the Granite State. Thats maybe what I have to do. Sail my boat in Winnipausauke Lake. Just to be with someone I need. In the middle of the way to Wolfboro town, The lake's like ocean under the moutain cloud. You may head the beatiful lsland you see there. New Hampshire under the clear sky
