In March 2005, Juwita's debut solo album, "Brand New World" received 4 nominations for the prestigious AIM (Malaysian Music Industry) Awards: Best New English Artiste Best Local English Album Best Vocal Performance in an Album (Female) Best Engineered Album Her four nominations paid off because on the Awards Night in 30 April 2005 Juwita and her brother/producer Aubrey Suwito were the proud recipient’s of the Best Local English Album award. "Brand New World" includes 5 songs written by Juwita herself. They accentuate her experiences as a young adult as well as her childhood musical influences which range from R&B to Asian pop. The album is also generously sprinkled with her newly developed taste for more pop-rock/urban styles. Her first single, 'Hey! (Making a Change)' was nominated for Hitz.fm’s Malaysian English Top 10 Pop/Dance Award, and the latest addition to her 'credentials' is her nomination for Anugerah Era 2005 - Artis Inggeris Tempatan Pilihan (People’s Choice: Local English Artiste) which she unfortunately didn’t win. Juwita has performed at numerous youth rallies and concerts in Peninsular Malaysia, East Malaysia & Singapore. She is Malaysian Idol's vocal coach for the second year running, and recently released her latest single, "Beautiful Lies" on the Original Soundtrack of the movie Gol & Gincu. In November 2005, Juwita plans to tour some of the southeastern cities in Australia to share her music and gain new experiences before commencing on the production of her second album.
