Been in the game for a while now, '88 to be exact. When I hear dudes on the radio I laugh...its all garbage. I want to bring the realness back to the streets the way it was when I was growing up. Besides that, I'm just a solo cat working with some DJ's/Producers who got some serious heat. They know who they are. Be on the look out for "Respect Me" (the mixtape) coming in June!
Story behind the song
Man, this song was just off the top of the head. I spit hard on this joint. When you listen to the song, all things mentioned, thats what motivated me to write this.
Lyrics
-Got people asking why is Clip still spittin' the hardest,
-Cause that would be like the sunshine overpowered by darkness,
-I'm one of the founding fathers in this new rap game millineum,
-Trying to take it back to '88 when crack was the rule of many men,
-Big stacks of Benjamins and the coutless eyewitnesses,
-Watched as I fired more slugs than Donald Trump's "Apprentices",
-My sentences are complex, no one man can decipher,
-I stay on a constant grind, smoother than any bolt action rifle,
-Some think my words are spiteful, I stand tall like the Eiffel,
-Tower over you in knowledge, my jewlz are more than an eyeful,
-Its quite frightful how my delivery on the mic is so damn persuasive,
-My time is agleless and a flow that can no way be evaded,
-Twenty five years later, this game is creating the greatest sages,
-Many waited and many failed to create what I emboss in the pages,
-Of hip-hop, how can one stop what so many great artists have started,
-And stood for before they became sorrowfully departed,
-Most with minds that could be scribed in the Dean's List at Harvard,
-That can paint images on paper more breath taking than artwork,
-It makes my heart hurt, just to see what this game has become,
-Give me your attention to educate the blind, deaf and, the dumb,
