Story behind the song
This song was written in 1833 by Thomas Haynes Bayley, an English song writer and dramatist, but was not published until 1843, four years after his death. It quickly became very popular, especially in the United States. (Vocals - S. True, T. Kilgour, P. Cazaly, G. Mallon, B. Santin)
