I CAN'T COMPLAIN is a shuffle in the tradition of Shania Twain's 'Come on Over.' I wrote it for Veda Radanovich and tried to portray what she was going through at the time.

Jim Colyer Band is a free-wheeling, ever-changing thing. Members come and go. The one constant is my catalog of songs. I do some of the lead vocals but employ females as I write lots of girl songs.

I wrote I CAN'T COMPAIN for Veda Radanovich. We never got to it. Veda recorded 17 of my songs between 2000 and 2004.
Lyrics
6 in the morning Headed for the gym I work all day To stay nice and slim Mom and dad On the telephone They say I won't make it They tell me, "Come home!" The years roll by As long as I Wake up in the morning I Can't Complain I'll find a way To get through the day I'll get through the rain I Can't Complain My neighbor is loud Obnoxious and mean She drives me nuts She's so obscene My car is a bomb It won't even start A matter of time Til it falls apart The years roll by As long as I Wake up in the morning I Can't Complain I'll find a way To get through the day I'll get through the rain I Can't Complain It could be a whole lot worse 6 in the morning Headed for the gym I sweat all day To stay nice and slim Younger brother on the telephone He says, "Girl! You're gonna make it! Keep on!" Rap: I Can't Complain I Can't Complain It could be worse You know it could Oh yeah Jim Colyer ASCAP
