The story goes, I was living in Austin Texas back in the 70's my friends and I use to go out to a place east of there called Enchanted Rock, a huge series of granite domes (Batholits) it was the highest place for miles (not hard to do in Texas). We were up there one full moon night and needless to say we were quite "enchanted" my friends had gone off for a moonlight strole and I was wandering around on the rocks, suddenly my Dog "Sativa" spoke to me, it was quite unnerving but we carried on a conversation for a bit and so we wrote this song. Sativa actually wrote it but seeing as she couldn't play the guitar I ended up playing it. This is a true story.
