this is a song of encouragement for a friend, a sort of 'it makes me happy to see you happy, so don't be sad' thing. this song is actually in no way lesbianish.
a friend of mine had expressed some concerns to me and was unhappy with a situation. after seeing how upset she was i wrote her a song of encouragement that outlined some random moments from our friendship and had an encouragement towards her talents and ambitions in the chorus, and is more or less a "turn that frown upside down!" thing.
