Harvard Blue is a born winner. The artist, author, songwriter, music producer was born in the city of Cambridge, Ma. Raised by a mother, who he watched work 9 to 5 then 6 to 10 just to get by; HB learned that cash was king and that he would have to hustle to survive. Coming of age on the mischievous streets of Cambridge provided colorful experiences that helped the young man develop his unique outlook toward the world. Through exposure to poverty, drug abuse, drug selling, violence and dysfunction Harvard Blue learned to live the phrase “what you see depends on what you’re looking for.” Through recognizing negativity but focusing on life’s positives, HB successfully navigated past pitfalls to beat America’s odds and statistics stacked against young black men. Using a combination of academic intelligence mixed with common sense, he advanced to study and graduate from Morehouse College and earned a master’s degree from Harvard University.
HB’s road to success was not without potholes, but adversity has strengthened his perseverance, delivered wisdom and given him a perspective that he weaves into the stories that he tells over instrumentals.
