But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Micah:5:2

My thoughts are not your thoughts nor are your ways my ways says the LORD. As the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than yours. Isa: 55:9
"Many, O LORD my God, are your wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are towards us: they cannot be counted up in order to you: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered." Psalms:40:5 This is what my music is all about.

Story behind the song
I asked the Lord to help me write a Christmas song that He would like and this was the result.
Lyrics
As the evening crept through the town that kept the weary travelers there Bethlehem looked restful in the quiet country air But the village inn had no lodging then for Joseph and his wife And Mary, God's handmaiden, she was soon to bring forth life Void of all renown, just a little town, where the Lord would grace the Earth In a city of obscurity the King would find His birth Midst the stony walls of the donkey stalls the labor had begun The universe was waiting for the glory of God's Son The world that lay in darkness was about to see great light God Himself was coming down to redeem us from the night Inside that tiny baby dwelt the Spirit of the Lord Soon they all would see the child whom the Father so adored There in David's town where the shepherds found the fields to graze their sheep Underneath the heavens while the people were asleep There came a shining light that was very bright and an angel spoke these words; "To you is born a Savior" they were fearful, they were stirred With their perfume jars, following the star, towards the One they longed to meet The wise men came to worship and lay treasures at His feet And because they knew all the prophets true, they journeyed not in vain To bring their gifts and honor Him who evermore would reign The world that lay in darkness was about to see great light God Himself was coming down to redeem us from the night Inside that tiny baby dwelt the Spirit of the Lord Soon they all would see the child whom the Father so adored Oh thank you Lord for rescuing us! We praise you Lord for giving Jesus!
