Story behind the song
about a girl who whenever she was feel down would take her dog scout down to the beach behind her house. she wouldn't sleep all night and would hug scout and cry and just watch the ocean. i always wanted to be the one to help her out of her depression, but it was the ocean that was her true savior.
Lyrics
She sees a cold night through her window, So she slips into her warmer clothes. She unlocks the door and breathes the air, Only a few know where she goes. And when I hear, That she needs her time alone, That’s when I fear, She won’t find her way back home, But she comes back, reminds me that she knows the way back home… She walks now; she sits down on the sand, And stares out deep into the waves. Rise and fall as she watches them all, It reminds her of her days. And when I hear, That she needs her time alone, That’s when I fear, She won’t find her way back home, But she comes back, reminds me that she knows the way… and She’ll go, To the, Ocean, And I can’t help but look, To the rain… to the rain. You stay out till sunrise, I watch you, through my worried eyes, Even though I know your smile, Rises with the sun. And when I hear, That she needs her time alone, That’s when I fear, She won’t find her way back home, But she comes back, reminds me that she knows the way… and She’ll go, To the, Ocean, And I can’t help but look, To the rain… No, I can’t help but, Feel your pain… No, I can’t help but, Go insane… No, I can’t help but look, To the rain…
