Torry came up to me one day in jazz band and casually mentioned something about having thought of a melody line the other night in his head. He played it for me and I liked it immediately. I went home and finished it and gave it some chords. I think the whole song has a very nice classic jazz sound to it, especially at the end of the form when the saxes come in. The name comes from the book "Heart of Darkness" (which will appear later), and is a little strange considering Kurtz is a pretty evil character and whole journey has a somewhat foreboding atmosphere. Scott runs the changes well in his solo.
