The idea for this one hit me while listening to an Eric Clapton song called "The Core" and hearing a melody line that I liked. It turned into this. This is the song where we encouraged Dave and Torry to really let loose, and to some extent, they did. A note on the name ... this is considering the prequel to the Hertel's Turtle, even though it came after the Turtle. Rumor has it that a third Hertel song could be coming, making it a full out trilogy. And of course, Hertel refers to Mr. Hertel, our student teacher one semester. He was really cool, so we named a couple songs after him. Thanks, wherever you are, Mr. Hertel.
