Lyrics
The Road To Recovery
Slowly the truth slips into view
As I watch my life sink in the mirror
I dissapear so alone on my broken road
I’m waisted dead in the water with no way home
And no way to pay back all that’s gone
Looking back to see
I’ve slipped into this, I was innocent
Thought I’d found a place to hide
But there aint no easy way
On the road to recovery
I’ve left behind so many appologies
And a path of broken hearts
Was it too much to find the answer
I had no real reason to leave the dark
Why did I wait to hit rock bottom
But this is where I make my mark
I’ve slipped into this
(Guitar solo)
I’ve slipped into this, I was innocent
Thought I’d found a place to hide
But there aint no easy way
On the road to recovery
I’ve slipped into this
And you were there to catch my fall
And everywhere I go I hear the call
And follow the road to recovery
There’s no more need for silence
No reason left to hide
I’m on a mountain side
I’ve gone all the way to rebuild my life
I’ve walked the road to recovery
